Brandon Aiyuk's agent and the San Francisco 49ers have consistently shut down trade rumors surrounding the All-Pro receiver ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Aiyuk is happy to build them up.
The future of San Francisco's leading receiver continues to be a topic of much speculation going into next week's draft, which will likely be a key deadline if a trade is to happen, with the 49ers almost certain to want 2024 draft capital in any deal for their 2020 first-round pick.
Six days out from the draft, Aiyuk fanned the flames of the trade talk around him in a post on his Instagram story.

Aiyuk posted a screenshot of a FaceTime with likely top-five pick Jayden Daniels, with whom he played during his collegiate career at Arizona State, attaching the caption: "Brother said we got six days and it's fireworks."
His post is could be hinting at a seismic turn of events surrounding his own future, but also could be a reference to a team potentially trading up to land Daniels if he falls past the second overall pick.
Aiyuk is likely just having some fun as his contract saga rumbles on. However, the 49ers will probably get some calls on Aiyuk during the draft, as they did in 2022 during their negotiations with another wide receiver in Deebo Samuel
San Francisco's resolve was not broken on that occasion and the likelihood is that, unless a team blows the 49ers away with an offer that features a first-round pick, that will again be the case this time around.
Still, as the 49ers approach their first draft in which they hold a first-round pick since 2021, there's potential for it to be a very dramatic opening night for San Francisco.
