Joshua Zirkzee has ended up at the top of AC Milan’s wish list ahead of the summer, with Olivier Giroud expected to say goodbye. However, as the price tag is rather high, the Rossoneri will have to get creative with their offer.

Giroud has more or less agreed to join the MLS side LAFC and will thus say goodbye to Milan at the end of his contract this summer. This has certainly intensified the Rossoneri’s pursuit of a striker and it seems Bologna star Zirkzee is at the top of their wish list.

As highlighted by the journalist Matteo Moretto, speaking to Radio Rossonera, Milan are preparing a player-plus-cash offer for the Dutchman. The money part of the offer could reach around €30m, while the remaining €10m would be the valuation of the player(s).

Indeed, Zirkzee has a €40m release clause which is valid for all teams and not just Bayern Munich, as Moretto highlights. While there is interest from the Premier League, the 22-year-old would like to continue in Serie A next season as well.

The main suspects counterpart-wise are Alexis Saelemaekers, who is currently on loan with the Rossoblu, and the youngster Lorenzo Colombo. The latter’s value is to be defined, but the Belgian has a price tag of around €10m.
